WanderWay is an app that helps people travel to Israel easily. You can build an itinerary and get suggestions and full info about all the beautiful places. (Personal side project in MVP stage.)
I came up with the idea of WanderWay because I travel a lot in Israel, and the lack of concentrated, all-in-one-place information made these travels less easy than I wanted them to be. So, I decided to start this project and see if I could find the developer after I had my design.
The process was pretty streamlined:

I devised an idea and elaborated on it to have a foundation. Here is the summary:
Then it was time to discuss my idea with people. For my interviews I had a simple goal: to understand what problems people stumble upon when planning their trips (if any) and what are their needs regarding this process. I talked to 12 people who had different experience level and analyzed the interview to sort the info in different categories. The main categories were “Pains” and “Needs” according to my research goal.
So my hypothesis was confirmed and I could move forward with my app architecture. From the same interview I got ideas what should be in the app, so I got to plan all the elements and user flows with that info.
After I understood which screens I need and how they are connected, I could start with lo-fi wireframe. I add more details and elements to the screens, so it would be easier to design them afterwards.
From the structured and straightforward part I moved to the creative part. I worked on the design of the main screens to create the cohesive and fun experience.
The next steps are to create an animated prototype and compile a deck for future promotion and fundraising.
